YYC Calgary International Airport is excited to welcome ATTAbotics, a made in Calgary innovative logistics company, that will locate at the campus business district in the YYC Global Logistics Park.

Why is this important?

ATTAbotics is reimagining the future of supply chain management by disrupting industry norms and tried and true methods. The company provides robotic warehousing and fulfillment systems to companies globally, aiming to redefine eCommerce and warehousing fulfillment.

The company has been awarded funding by the Opportunity Calgary Investment Fund (OCIF) - a $100 million program for organizations making investments in Calgary that promote economic growth. OCIF is a City of Calgary initiative that is administered by Calgary Economic Development.

The funding will support construction of two productions lines ATTAbotics will be building at YYC Calgary International Airport. The first will open in 2019, with the second in 2020.

“Being located near the airport, ATTAbotics is the first company located outside of downtown to receive the grant,” said Bob Sartor, President and CEO, The Calgary Airport Authority. “It’s proof that YYC is becoming an innovation hub for logistics and supply chain in the region.”

YYC Calgary International Airport handles 75 per cent of the air cargo in Alberta, and ATTAbotics is strategically located close to our cargo hub to help grow its business while helping others innovate their companies.

The YYC Campus Business District is perfectly located on the northwest section of YYC, with direct airside access to aircraft and convenient ground connections to Calgary’s major roads. Future interchange upgrades to Airport Trail at 19th Street NE will only improve access.

YYC has a number of projects in the works to help support and expand the growth of the campus, growing our brand and non-aeronautical revenue.
