Calgary, AB, Thursday, September 8, 2005:  Vancouver–based Harmony Airways officially launched its direct, non-stop Calgary – Hawaii service today at Calgary International Airport with a dramatic entrance for its Boeing 757, complete with fire truck water-arch, hula dancers and a White Hat ceremony for owner Dr. David Ho and President Gary Collins.

Harmony’s direct non-stop flights from Calgary to Honolulu will depart Thursdays and Saturdays starting December 10th.  Flights to Maui from Calgary every Friday will start December 9th. All flights will leave Calgary in the morning, arriving in Hawaii by early afternoon.  Return flights occur the same day, leaving in the afternoon and returning travellers to Calgary that night.

“We already know Oahu and Maui are popular holiday destinations with our customers, and we’re pleased to offer our friends in Alberta the convenience of being able to depart from Calgary and eliminate the need to connect through Vancouver. This flight schedule will allow people to maximize their holiday time,” said Gary Collins, CEO of Harmony Airways. “Add this to Harmony’s ongoing commitment to provide the best in-flight experience of all the airlines and I know that Albertans will find the combination hard to beat.”

"The addition of Harmony Airlines to the Calgary International Airport offers another great choice for travellers destined to a sun destination this winter," said Julien De Schutter, Vice President of Airport Marketing. "Harmony's direct service to Honolulu and Maui is another great choice when planning your next trip!"

All of the direct flights from Calgary will be in one of Harmony's spacious Boeing 757 aircraft.  Each is fitted with 16 harmonyone business class seats and 155 economy class seats.
