Calgary, AB. - Today, the Calgary Airport Authority announced a donation of $25,000 to the Canadian Red Cross to assist with flood relief efforts in southern Alberta on behalf of all Authority employees and Board members.
“Our thoughts are with those affected by the flooding as our community works to rebuild,” said David Swanson, Chair of the Calgary Airport Authority. “It has been remarkable to witness the resilience and spirit of Albertans during this challenging time.”
On Friday, July 5, the YYC community also rallied together to show their support for those affected by the flooding. The Calgary Airport Authority and Delta Calgary Airport Hotel partnered to host a barbecue where employees celebrated the start of Stampede and raised $8,000 for the Alberta Floods Fund.
YYC partners showed their support by donating prizes, food and volunteering their own time to help. A special thank you to our partners for their incredibly generous contributions to the fundraiser:
