Remembrance Day Ceremony at Calgary International Airport (YYC)

Event: Remembrance Day Ceremony

The Calgary International Airport Pipe Band and Honour Guard will form up at 10:30 a.m. in the Concourse D - Departures Level check-in area at YYC. There will be a procession through the terminal ending at the open public area adjacent to Montana’s Cookhouse.

The airport community Honour Guard will include uniformed representatives from Calgary Police Service, RCMP, Calgary Fire Department, Calgary Emergency Medical Services, Royal Air Force, British Army, Canadian Corp of Commissionaires, 604 Royal Canadian Air Cadets, Canada Border Services Agency and the United States Department of Homeland Security Customs and Border Protection.

There will be a brief ceremony commencing at 10:40 a.m. for airport employees and travellers who wish to pause and remember those who have served in past conflicts, and honour the men and women who serve our country today.

Acting as the Master of the Ceremonies and Parade Commander will be Constable Mike Bertin, Drum Major for the Calgary International Airport Pipe Band. David Swanson, Chair of the Board of Directors will be representing The Calgary Airport Authority.
