Calgary-area performers selected for Holiday Music Program at YYC

(Calgary, AB) – The terminal building at Calgary International Airport (YYC) will be a musical wonderland for travellers this holiday season, thanks to the joyful sounds provided by nine local musical acts that will be performing in the airport.

The nine groups that will perform during YYC’s busiest travel period (listed below) were selected from among more than 80 applications received from musicians vying for a slot in YYC’s first-ever Holiday Music Program.

·        Daiga and Anna Stube

·        Derek Gust

·        Il Sono Men’s Ensemble

·        Joelle’s Noelle

·        Karissa Diane

·        Robert Scherle

·        St. Mary’s Jazz Combo

·        The Jingles

These performers will join local choirs who will also perform during the holidays to entertain the tens of thousands of travellers arriving to and departing from YYC.

 

·        Aheer Studio of Performance

·        Alberta Gold Chorus

·        Calgary Burns Club Singers

·        Calgary Crescendo Choir

·        Calgary Multicultural Choir

·        Irish Cultural Society Choir

·        Willow Park School

·        Youth Singers of Calgary

 

The holiday music performances are just one of many festive events taking place throughout the airport this holiday season, including our annual Festival of Trees, free gift-wrapping post-security, and visits from both Santa and Mrs. Claus.
