July 12, 2017   |

Travellers looking for ‘Made in Calgary’ products now have an opportunity to find it all in one exclusive location.

Calgary, Alberta – YYC Calgary International Airport and the Made in Calgary campaign are partnering to host a pop-up shop, featuring the products of Calgary-based businesses including Local Laundry, Routine Cream, Fair Goods, and more.

“Welcoming this pop-up shop into YYC gives us a unique opportunity to showcase Calgary’s creativity and entrepreneurial spirit to a wide range of visitors and travellers,” said Rob Palmer, Vice-President, Finance, and Chief Financial Officer. “These home-grown businesses complement our first-rate shopping and dining experiences, providing even more options to YYC’s passengers.”

The Made in Calgary pop-up shop will be located pre-security on the Departures Level near Concourse C security screening from July 12 to 31.

“We launched the Made in Calgary campaign last year because we knew that Calgary featured some of the best and most unique local businesses in Canada,” said Leighton Healey, co-creator of the Made in Calgary campaign. “We teamed up with YYC for the ability to share these local gems with airport employees, guests and travellers from every continent. Our vision has long been to help make Calgary famous for its exceptional products and businesses worldwide – thanks to this new airport pop-up store, we are closer than ever to seeing this become a reality.”
