Remembrance Day Ceremony at YYC Calgary International Airport

Calgary, AB – There will be a Remembrance Day ceremony at YYC Calgary International Airport for airport travellers and employees who wish to pause and remember those who have served in past conflicts, and honour the men and women who serve our country today.

The Calgary International Airport Pipe Band and Honour Guard will form up at 10:45 a.m. in the Concourse A - Departures Level check-in area at YYC. There will be a procession through the terminal ending at the open public area adjacent to Montana’s Cookhouse.

The airport community Honour Guard will include uniformed representatives from Calgary Police Service, RCMP, Calgary Fire Department, Calgary Emergency Medical Services, Royal Air Force, British Army, British Air Force, Canadian Corp of Commissionaires, Royal Canadian Air Cadets, Canada Border Services Agency and the United States Department of Homeland Security Customs and Border Protection.

Acting as the Master of the Ceremonies and Parade Commander will be Constable Mike Bertin, Retired for the Calgary International Airport Pipe Band. Michael Casey, QC, Board Director will be representing The Calgary Airport Authority.
