Korean Air Offers Summer Flights Between Calgary And Seoul

December  8, 2009 – Los Angeles - This summer Korean Air, America’s largest Asian airline, announced it will offer three flights per week from Calgary to Seoul.

Beginning July 25 and ending August 25, 2010 travelers can fly a 747 on Tuesdays, Thursday and Sundays between Calgary and Seoul. Once Calgary passengers arrive at Incheon, they are able to access significant connections to other destinations in Asia and the Russian Far East.

The flight numbers and times are:

From Incheon to Calgary Flight 2075 leaves at 1820 and arrives at 1400.  From Calgary to Incheon, Flight 2076 leaves at 1600 and arrives at 1830+1.

“Today’s announcement of flights between Calgary International Airport (YYC) and Seoul is good news for Calgary and Alberta,” said Stephan Poirier, vice president and chief  commercial officer for The Calgary Airport Authority. “YYC is Alberta’s premier international passenger and cargo gateway and this announcement by Korean Air solidifies our position as the destination of choice for travellers and airlines.”

Recently, Korean Air committed $200 million to enhance its fleet. The two year plan also includes introduction of A380 and B787 environment-friendly next generation aircrafts.
