Runway Development Project (RDP) - Environmental Assessment – Comprehensive Study

The Calgary Airport Authority is committed to ensuring that airport operations and expansion occur with minimal impact on human and environmental health. Therefore, all projects at YYC that may impact the environment are subjected to an Environmental Assessment (EA).

A Comprehensive Study (CS) process outlined under the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act was followed for the Runway Development Project at YYC and supported by the federal Minister of the Environment. The Comprehensive Study is now complete and has been reviewed by an independent Reviewer and also by The Calgary Airport Authority’s Infrastructure and Environment Committee. The Comprehensive Study has concluded that, with the implementation of recommended mitigation measures, there are no significant residual adverse affects.

A complete library of EA documents and reports are available at www.yyc.com
