White Hat Ceremony

Whether you are travelling in a large group or as a single passenger, we want you to enjoy your experience at Calgary International Airport (YYC). That’s why we offer a range of complimentary services specifically designed to enhance your visit with us.

It all starts with our White Hat Volunteers, who are a true testament to Calgary’s warm western hospitality. For 25 years the White Hat Volunteers have greeted travellers from around the world with a smile!

Our volunteers can be found almost anywhere in the airport, dressed in their iconic white cowboy hats and red vests., ready to lend a helping hand, answer your questions, or help  you welcome your guests to Calgary!

White Hat Volunteers perform the world-famous White Hat Ceremony - the official welcoming of visitors to Calgary, assist with welcoming conferences/conventions and answer questions throughout the airport. But most importantly, they are a touchstone in what can often be a very busy place.

If you have guests arriving to Calgary and wish to have them welcomed with a White Hat Ceremony, please complete the attached reservation form and return it to WesternHospitality@yyc.com
