The YYC LINK Passenger Shuttle – We’ve Got You Covered from ‘A to E’

Tuesday, June 14, 2016 1 Milestones

What has four stops, can accommodate up to 10 passengers and will move guests through the airport in a matter of minutes? That would be one of Calgary International Airport’s (YYC) new electric compact transit system vehicles, part of our YYC LINK passenger shuttle system.

Come October, connecting passengers will have the chance to take a ride on one of the YYC LINK passenger shuttle vehicles which will run from Concourse A to Concourse D/E in the new International Terminal. All vehicles were custom-manufactured and built right here in Canada and were also designed to ensure easy access for passengers with accessibility requirements.

When the vehicles begin their scheduled service along the Connections Corridor, the secure link between the existing terminal facility and the new International Terminal, they will be sporting an eye-catching design that will complement the modern and sleek design of the space. To get our vehicles dressed in their best attire, Swift Signs made a quick stopover at YYC and decaled one lucky car for its close-up. Check out the process from start to finish, and get a sneak-peek of what you will see at YYC on opening day.

As we get closer to Day 1 of the new facility, stay tuned here to Waypoints for even more stories on all things “International Terminal”.
