WestJet moved to their temporary domestic check-in location yesterday so that their baggage system (and check-in location) can be replaced and upgraded. Installation of the new state-of-the-art Crisbag system starts today, August 15, and we’d like to let guests flying domestically with WestJet know what to expect.
Why are we doing this? We’re installing better baggage systems that integrate the Domestic and International terminal systems for better bag tracking and transfers. The improvement means a bit of extra noise in the Concourse A post-secure area, as 3.5 kilometres of baggage track and 1,000,000 pounds of steel are removed and installed!
