THE CALGARY AIRPORT AUTHORITY’S (KNOWN AS CALGARY AIRPORTS) STANDARD CONTEST RULES (The “Rules”)
These rules govern the contests and giveaways (collectively, the “Contests,” each a “Contest”) administered by Calgary Airports. The Contests are conducted in the Province of Alberta and are subject to applicable municipal, provincial, and federal laws, including the Competition Act (Canada) and the Alberta Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
No purchase is necessary. Contests are void where prohibited by law. Participation in a Contest constitutes acceptance of these official Contest Rules (the “Rules”).
YYC’s Three Days of Summer Giveaways
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible to enter the Contest, an individual must:
Employees, officers, directors, representatives, and agents of Calgary Airports, its parent, related and affiliated companies, subsidiaries, departments or agencies, franchisees, suppliers, advertising and promotional agencies, contest administrators, and any other parties engaged in the development, production, or distribution of Contest materials, and those living in the same household, whether related or not, are not eligible to enter this Contest. By participating in this Contest, entrants acknowledge compliance with, and agree to be bound by, these Contest Rules. Entrants who do not comply with any of the Contest Rules are subject to disqualification by Calgary Airports, in its sole discretion.
CONTEST PERIOD
The Contest entry period (the “Contest Period”) will begin on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 9 a.m. MDT and will end on Friday, July 18, 2025 9 a.m. MDT, after which time the Contest will be closed and no further entries will be accepted.

Receipt of an online entry occurs when Calgary Airports’ server records the entry information. Receipt of a mail-in entry occurs when Calgary Airports’ contact for the contest receives and records the entry information. All entries must be complete and are subject to verification by Calgary Airports, in its sole discretion.
Entry Limit: There are unlimited entries per person.
Entry Ownership: All entries become the property of Calgary Airports and will not be returned. Late, illegible, incomplete, damaged, fraudulent, or otherwise invalid entries will be disqualified.
Online Entries: Entries submitted online will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the social media or email account associated with the entry.
Any attempt or suspected attempt to use robotic, automatic, programmed, or otherwise illicit means to enter the Contest, or any other methods not authorized by these Contest Rules, including but not limited to creating multiple accounts, identities, or registrations, all in Calgary Airports’ sole discretion, shall be deemed as tampering and may disqualify the entrant from entering, participating, and/or winning the Contest Prize. Entries that contain false or incomplete information are void. Entries that are late, lost, stolen, illegible, damaged, misdirected, mutilated, garbled, or otherwise irregular, or that do not conform with or satisfy any or all of the conditions of the Contest Rules, are void. Entrants grant Authority a non-exclusive, irrevocable license to use all entries for any purpose. No correspondence will be entered into except with selected entrants. Proof of transmission (e.g., screenshots or captures) does not constitute proof of entry or receipt of an entry.
PRIZES
Number of Prizes: One winner: two (2) Economy Class round-trip tickets on any flight operated by Air Canada (including, flights operated under the Air Canada Express banner and operated by Air Canada Rouge) from Calgary (YYC) to any major Canadian airport served by Air Canada closest collectively, the “Contest Prize", with an approximate total retail value of $ 2,000.00 CAD.
The total number of prizes available and the regions to which they apply will be disclosed at the start of the Contest Period in accordance with the Competition Act (Canada).
Contest Prize: Value of $2,000 (the “Contest Prize”)
Contest Prize Conditions:
- The Contest Prize cannot be combined with other discounts, promotions, or special offers.
- If unavailable, Calgary Airports reserves the right to substitute the Contest Prize with a prize of equal or greater value at its sole discretion.
- Contest Prize Distribution: The winner will be contacted with instructions on how to claim the Contest Prize. Calgary Airports is committed to distributing the Contest Prize without undue delay, in compliance with the Competition Act (Canada).
- Authority’s Liability: Calgary Airports is not responsible for loss, damage, or misdirection of the Contest Prize.
AIR CANADA TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By entering the Contest, each eligible entrant acknowledges and agrees that the Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, nor is associated with Air Canada or any of its subsidiaries and affiliates, and that Calgary Airports is fully responsible for the conduct and administration of the Contest, including the selection of winner(s) and the distribution of prizes.
The Contest Prize must be accepted as awarded and may be used for products and services of Air Canada or of its subsidiaries and affiliates, as applicable, in accordance with and subject to all the relevant terms and conditions applicable at the time of redemption, including Air Canada’s General Terms and Conditions of Carriage.
The Contest Prize Winner and their guest are responsible for any and all costs, surcharges, fees, charges, expenses and taxes not expressly described herein including, without limitation, ground transportation, including to and from the departure point, gratuities, merchandise, telephone calls, personal expenses of any nature for overnight layovers, meals and beverages, service charges, in-flight meals and entertainment, costs incurred to and from departure point, (as the Contest Prize originates and terminates at such departure point), obtaining sufficient personal travel insurance prior to departure, if desired; obtaining and carrying all necessary travel documentation, such as passports and visas, and complying with entry, health, safety, customs and immigrations regulations and requirements. These requirements are subject to change without notice.
Travel does not qualify for Aeroplan points accumulation or for mileage/points accumulation in any other frequent flyer program.
The Contest Prize winner understands and acknowledges and will ensure that their guest understands and acknowledges the risks related to the spread of infectious or contagious diseases and understand it remains their responsibility to take the necessary precautions applicable to any health hazards, including but not limited to COVID-19.
No changes permitted to reservations once the date of travel is confirmed and tickets have been issued. The following blackout dates apply during which flights cannot be booked:
- 27 July 2025 to 17 August 2025
- 15 December 2025 to 05 January 2026
- 01 April 2026 to 08 April 2026
- 26 July 2026 to 16 August 2026
- December 2026 to 06 January 2027
Blackout dates are subject to change without notice.
The Contest Prize is not transferable, not upgradeable, not refundable, and not redeemable for cash or valid on Air Canada Vacations packages. Stopovers and multi-city itineraries are not permitted.

By entering the Contest, each eligible entrant further covenants and agrees to keep harmless and to release from liability Air Canada, its subsidiaries and affiliates, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, representatives, subcontractors and affiliates with respect to any claims or actions, losses, fines or legal costs which arise, directly or indirectly in connection with the Contest and the administration thereof, the Contest Prize and any related activity.
WINNER SELECTION
Odds of Winning: The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received before the Contest End Date.
Winner Selection Process: A random draw will be conducted on Friday, July 18, 2025 at 10 a.m. MST at 2000 Airport Road NE, Calgary, Alberta. If a selected entrant does not meet eligibility criteria, another entrant will be drawn.
Winner Requirements: Selected entrants must:
- Correctly answer a skill-testing question as required by the Criminal Code of Canada.
- Sign and return the Declaration of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release form.
- Comply with all Contest Rules.
- Notification: The winner be contacted via telephone and email within 7 business days. If unreachable after three attempts, another entrant may be selected.
- Verification: Calgary Airports reserves the right to verify the identity and eligibility of any entrant at any time. Failure to provide such proof may result in disqualification.
RELEASE & INDEMNIFICATION
By entering the Contest, each entrant:
- Releases and holds harmless Calgary Airports and its affiliates from any liability arising from participation in the Contest or use of the Contest Prize.
- Agrees to indemnify Calgary Airports against any claims related to their entry.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Calgary Airports is not responsible for:
- Technical malfunctions or errors affecting the entry process.
- Lost, late, or misdirected entries.
- Any injury or damage resulting from Contest participation or use of the Contest Prize.
If the Contest cannot be conducted as planned due to fraud, technical issues, or unforeseen circumstances, Calgary Airports reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest.
PRIVACY & USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
By entering, participants consent to Calgary Airports using their personal information for:
- Contest administration (including contacting winners).
- Publicity and promotional purposes.
Calgary Airports will handle all personal information in accordance with Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and its privacy policy.
GOVERNING LAW
The Contest is void where prohibited by law and is subject to all applicable Canadian federal, provincial, territorial, and municipal laws. The Contest shall be governed exclusively by the laws of the Province of Alberta. Any dispute shall be adjudicated in the courts of Calgary, Alberta.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All intellectual property associated with the Contest is owned by Calgary Airports. Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.
