CALGARY – Calgary Airports today released its 2025 Annual Report, Elevate, reflecting a year of continued growth, strong performance and major investments across YYC Calgary International Airport and YBW Springbank Airport.
In 2025, YYC welcomed 19.4 million travellers, representing 2.7% growth over 2024, including two consecutive summer months with more than two million travellers moving through the airport – a first in YYC’s history. Throughout the year, we added 13 new routes alongside airline partners, for a total of 108 non-stop destinations by the end of 2025.
This momentum means more non-stop options and a smoother journey for travellers, while strengthening Calgary’s connectivity, supporting tourism, business travel and trade, and helping drive economic growth across the region.
“In 2025, our focus was simple: keep people moving safely and smoothly while expanding choice for travellers,” says Chris Dinsdale, President & CEO. “With passenger volumes up and new routes added, we also delivered major milestones like reopening the West Runway and launching Phase I of Centralized Security Screening to support a more reliable operation and a better start-to-finish travel experience.”
The report outlines progress across Calgary Airports’ operations, infrastructure, guest experience and community impact, among others, including completion of a milestone project and advancement across several key initiatives designed to enhance resilience and improve the guest experience.
“None of this happens without the people behind the scenes,” Dinsdale says. “This report reflects the collective efforts of the teams who work to keep our complex operation moving safely and smoothly.”
