The Calgary Airport Authority receives credit rating upgrade to A1

The Calgary Airport Authority receives credit rating upgrade to A1
| Catgories:

CALGARY — The Calgary Airport Authority is pleased to announce that Moody’s Ratings has upgraded its credit rating to A1 and assigned it a stable outlook. Moody’s pointed to sustained growth in passenger traffic and revenues, increasing revenue diversification, stable and well-controlled operating costs, manageable capital expenditure requirements and a clear deleveraging trajectory.

“This upgrade reflects strong confidence in Calgary Airports’ strategic direction,” said Jennifer Pon, Chief Financial Officer, Calgary Airports. “We’re serving a growing region while staying focused on the financial discipline that allows us to invest in our airports for the long term. We continue to execute on our strategy of improving the experience for our guests, supporting our airline and business partners, and creating more economic activity for Calgary and the rest of Alberta.”

The upgrade comes as Calgary Airports continues to grow and set record passenger results, while continuing to diversify its revenue base through initiatives such as the development of YYC AeroNex, a world-class aviation hub bringing strategic aviation support services to the region.
