CALGARY — Community builder and strategist Nancy Foster has been elected Chair of the Board for Calgary Airports (formally, The Calgary Airport Authority), assuming the role from outgoing Chair Andrea Robertson.
“It’s a privilege to be selected for this role at this incredible moment of advancement at Calgary Airports,” Foster says. “In my role as director, I’ve worked with this skilled and dedicated executive team to build organizational strategy and embark on milestone projects and now I look forward to helping to guide those outcomes. On behalf of the Board, I’d especially like to thank Andrea Robertson for her exceptional governance and hard work in building this foundation.”
Nancy Foster was first appointed to the Board of Directors in 2024 by the Calgary Chamber of Commerce Long Range Planning Committee.

Throughout her career, Nancy Foster has excelled in executive leadership roles in business strategy, human resources and management. She has held memberships in industry and community related committees including the Alberta Economic Development Authority, the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers and the Conference Board of Canada. As a volunteer, she has brought passion and dedication to several not-for-profit organizations including Hospice Calgary, Child and Youth Friendly Calgary, the YWCA of Calgary and the United Way of Calgary and Area. She currently serves as Chair of the Board of Directors for Luna Child and Youth Advocacy Centre.
Nancy has been a member of the International Women’s Forum since 2013. In 2019, she was named co-chair of the United Way of Calgary and Area Campaign, and in 2017 she was awarded the Senate 150th Anniversary Medal for outstanding contributions to the community.
