Frequently Asked Questions

Accessibility

We understand a huge airport can be a little easier to navigate with accessibility options, so YYC kept that in mind while designing the International Terminal and updating our existing Domestic Terminal.

YYC's options for those who need help in the mobility department:

  • The award-winning YYC Link Shuttle:
    • An electric powered vehicle that allows passengers to quickly and comfortably connect between the International and Domestic terminals while remaining in the post-security area. It takes five minutes to travel from Concourse A to Concourse D/E, with four stations in between for passengers to embark/disembark from. Each shuttle seats 10 passengers and is wheelchair accessible.
  • White Hat Meet and Assist Program:
    • White Hat Volunteers are available to meet travelers and assist them with personalized navigation while reducing the stress and anxiety of air travel. If you would like to request White Hat Volunteer assistance please complete the attached reservation form and email it to WhiteHatTeam@yyc.com.
  • Club car service:
    • Ask for a ride on one of our YYC club cars to get you from one end of the terminal to the other. Available on both Arrivals and Departures levels. Ask a White Hat Volunteer or Customer Care Ambassador (wearing Red Blazers) to provide assistance.
  • Wheelchair/motorized wheelchair service:
    • Wheelchairs are available throughout the Terminal at YYC, please ask customer service for aid in locating one.
    • We strongly recommend you contact your airline  at least 24 hours prior to your arrival at YYC, to provide assistance through security and to your gate if needed.
  • Moving sidewalks:
    • To help get you around quicker, we have an array of moving sidewalks behind security in both Domestic and International terminals.

Cellphone Lot

YYC's cellphone lot is a convenient and cost-effective way to get in and out of the airport in a timely manner - and it's absolutely free.

  1. The cellphone lot is located on your right hand side as you drive in to the airport on Airport Drive - see map here.
  2. Park and wait to be notified until your passenger is ready to be picked up.
  3. Pick up your passenger outside on the Arrivals Level at one of the Designated Cellphone Pick Up Zones:
  • zone 1: Between Doors 1 and 2
  • zone 2: Between Doors 5 and 6
  • zone 3: Between Doors 9 and 11
