CALGARY — Finding a great parking spot just got even more rewarding. The Calgary Airport Authority and its official parking brand, Park YYC, have earned international recognition and an Apex Award at the 2025 International Parking & Mobility Institute’s (IPMI) Awards of Excellence for its marketing and communications efforts to elevate the guest experience.
The award-winning campaign focused on making parking more efficient, user-friendly and accessible. Through a combination of strategic marketing, digital innovation and operational improvements, Park YYC’s efforts delivered tangible benefits for travellers.
“By encouraging online bookings, Park YYC was able to reduce congestion and optimize parking lot usage, making more spots available at key times,” says Chief Commercial Officer, Calgary Airports, Balázs Bogáts. “This means less stress when searching for a space and greater choice for guests, whether it’s comfortable, covered parking to dodge snow or our convenient, next-to-terminal solutions during the summer rush.”
The campaign reached travellers online, on the road and even at the rink through targeted ads, real-time weather-triggered messaging and creative partnerships with local organizations such as the Calgary Flames.
“While guests may not see the full scope of the campaign behind the scenes, they’ve felt the difference where it matters: smoother arrivals, shorter searches for a spot and more time to relax before takeoff,” says Bogáts.
