New at YYC: Mi Casa Cantina opens in U.S. Departures

Last week, we celebrated the grand opening of Mi Casa Cantina at YYC Calgary Airport’s E Gates. Located next to the food court near Gate E82, Mi Casa brings a vibrant, modern cantina vibe to U.S. departures, serving up bold flavors and a festive atmosphere for travellers heading south. The opening celebration featured a ribbon cutting and remarks from Chris Niergarth, General Manager of Retail & Hospitality Development at Calgary Airports, and Richard Wilson, Regional Vice President of Operations at SSP Canada. Together, they highlighted the partnership that brought this exciting new concept to life.

Mi Casa Cantina offers a menu packed with made-to-order favorites with tacos, quesadillas, nachos, and salads, house-made guacamole, pico de gallo, and salsas and burgers with a Mexican twist. Pair your meal with a handcrafted cocktail, a cold Mexican beer, or explore the selection of boutique tequilas and mezcals at the full-service bar. Whether you’re fuelling up before take-off or relaxing during a layover, Mi Casa is the perfect spot to kick off your journey with flavor.

To celebrate Mi Casa's opening, we’re giving travellers a chance to win! Three winners will each receive $100 of Mi Casa Cantina gift certificates. To enter:

Mi Casa Cantina is open daily from 4:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., post-security near Gate E82 in Concourse E, and is operated by SSP Canada. The new location brings a fresh, vibrant new dining experience to guests travelling to the United States.
