YYC serves up 2,450 pancakes to travellers at its annual Stampede Breakfast Thursday, July 9, 2026 | Catgories: Blog, News Release CALGARY — Travellers, business partners and community members at YYC Calgary Airport (YYC) were greeted with the smell of pancakes, sizzling griddles and a full helping of western hospitality at Calgary Airports’ fourth annual YYC Stampede Breakfast on Wednesday, July 8. “Stampede is known around the world, but not everyone who passes through Calgary has the chance to experience it beyond the airport,” says Chris Dinsdale, President and Chief Executive Officer at Calgary Airports. “Whether someone is visiting for the first time or coming home for Stampede, we want their first impression of Calgary to reflect the warmth, hospitality and spirit that this city is known for this time of year.” Joined once again by the Stampede Caravan Committee, Calgary Airports served up more than 2,450 plates and had approximately 2,700 attendees at its breakfast. This summer is forecast to be YYC’s busiest travel season on record, with more than six million travellers expected to travel through the airport from June to August.
