Supporting guests during the WestJet labour dispute Thursday, July 30, 2026 | Catgories: Blog, News Release Calgary Airports is working closely with airport partners to help minimize any potential disruptions to travellers resulting from the WestJet labour negotiations. As always, our number one priority is to ensure safe, secure and efficient operations while providing our guests with as seamless a travel experience as possible during a period of uncertainty. We’d like to reassure travellers that all airport services at YYC remain fully operational, and staff and volunteers are available to support guests with wayfinding and customer care. As the situation evolves, we continue to work closely with WestJet to support guests and operations over the coming days. Most importantly, we thank our guests for their patience and ask that they check with their airlines for flight updates and plan to arrive early. We encourage passengers travelling with WestJet to check their flight status at westjet.com before coming to the airport. Information from WestJet on active travel advisories, including the schedule change policy, is available here. For more specific information about the number of impacted flights and what individuals with planned travel with WestJet can expect, please reach out to the airline directly.
