YYC Calgary International Airport prepares to welcome the world for the G7 Summit Wednesday, May 28, 2025 | Catgories: Blog, News Release CALGARY – Preparations are underway at YYC Calgary International Airport to welcome delegates and heads of state for the 2025 G7 Summit June 15 to 17 in Kananaskis. While increased security measures will be in place before and during the event, the travelling public is assured that YYC is open and accessible throughout the summit. “YYC is proud to host G7 delegates as they travel through the region,” says Chris Miles, Chief Operations Officer at the Calgary Airport Authority. “As we move into what looks to be a very busy summer, we look forward to providing a smooth, safe operation for everyone travelling through here, and to showcasing the city of Calgary as a spectacular destination.” Travellers can expect some road closures in and around the perimeter of YYC, as well as increased security presence at curbside for pickups and drop-offs. All passengers should give themselves ample time to travel to the airport, pass through security, and arrive at their boarding gates.
