Curbside enhancements are underway at YYC Monday, June 16, 2025 | Catgories: Blog We’re working to make our Arrivals and Departure level curbsides safer by kicking off a multi-year project to install anti-ramming bollards along the curb at YYC. These safety features will be placed in front of all public-facing doors on both the Arrivals and Departures levels. What is a bollard you might ask? They’re those waist-height columns that you find in front of many externally facing doors. Construction will progress in phases, moving door to door over the coming months. While we work to enhance the safety and functionality of our spaces, you may notice temporary changes to curbside access. Signage will be in place to help guide you through any detours or changes to traffic and/or pedestrian access. To make your visit smoother, we encourage you to: Use our Cell Phone Lot while waiting to pick up arriving passengers. Take advantage of 20 minutes of free parking in our P1 and P2 short-term lots. Be prepared for temporary changes to traffic flow, including partial lane closures, on the Arrivals and Departures level roadways. These improvements are part of our seasonal construction projects, which take place during the warmer months when conditions are ideal for outdoor work. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to enhance your experience at YYC.
