Free short-term parking returns to YYC Friday, March 1, 2024 | Catgories: News Release CALGARY, ALBERTA— The Calgary Airport Authority is pleased to share that free short-term parking has officially returned to YYC Calgary International Airport. Beginning March 1, 2024, guests can conveniently park for 20 minutes or less in short-term lots in our P1 and P2 Parkades to meet, greet or drop-off guests— or even grab a bite to eat— for no charge. In recent years, The Authority has provided free short-term parking during peak travel periods and is now pleased to offer it once again, year-round. In 2023, YYC saw an all-time high in passenger numbers, and we’re making changes to elevate the parking experience for all. Park YYC, the official parking option of YYC Calgary International Airport, has relaunched free short-term parking to enhance the guest experience by improving traffic flow and offering the closest parking at YYC. “Bringing back free short-term parking is another way we can make access to our airport even more seamless,” says Chris Miles, Chief Operations Officer, “Not only will it create better pick up and drop off experiences for our guests, but it will also enhance operational efficiency by improving traffic flow on the arrivals level.” Here are the details: After 20 minutes, a $5.00 short-term rate will apply for each additional 20 minutes. Free short-term parking is only available for drive-up vehicles and will not apply to pre-booked parking reservations. Guests who require more time to pick up travellers can take advantage of the nearby Cell Phone Lot to wait for their party to arrive.
